In the USA the Daily News reported on November 17, 2012 that Geoffrey McGann from Rancho Palos Verdes in California was arrested at Oakland International Airport. The reason? Security officers suspected that the unusual watch he was wearing could be used to make a timing device for a bomb. Also suspicious were his shoes, which were unusually large and stuffed with insoles.The security checkpoint was closed and a bomb squad was alerted. The bomb squad arrived within five minutes, but found no explosive materials in the watch or the shoes.

Nevertheless, McGann was taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and charged with possessing materials to make an explosive device. Geoffrey McGann is, according to his Linkedln profile, owner and creative director of Generator Content, a media production company. He claimed that his watch which had switches, wires and fuses was made by him and was a work of art...
