Exports to Hong Kong, the most important market by far, recovered and achieved 396.8 million francs (+ 2.7%), for a share of 18.7%. The USA is in second place, with 207.1 million francs (+ 1.1%, 9.8%). China, in third place, continued the negative trend of the previous month, with 152.9 million francs (- 12.3%, 7.2%), but this effect was more than offset by exports to Germany, Italy and Japan, which grew with 28.4, 23.0 and 31.6% to 128.3, 124.0 and 121.5 million francs, respectively.
Watches in the 200-500 francs price range achieved the steepest increase in numbers (18.1%), and watches costing more than 3000 francs recorded the steepest rise in value (17.1%). Gold and steel watches grew in equal proportions, bimetallic watches recorded a below-average increase.
For the first ten months of this year the cumulative result is 13.7% higher than in 2011.
