From October 8th to 10th, the Franck Muller Group held its 4th not-to-be-missed Salon World Première of Haute Horlogerie & Jewellery (WPHH) in the prestigious setting of the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The event provided a splendid showcase for skill of the ten brands composing the Group: Franck Muller - Franck Muller Jewellery – Pierre Kunz - ECW – Rodolphe – Barthelay – Backes & Strauss – Martin Braun – Pierre Michel Golay – Smalto Timepieces.
Visited Franck Muller yesterday and when I arrived the press meeting had already started. Franck Muller himself was talking loudly about love and women. Next to him a dark spectacled gentleman listened in silence. The man was wearing a large Franck Muller timepiece of gold and a large black scarf (besides from his dark glasses). The man was designer Roberto Cavelli.
Many moons ago I was a big fan of the craziness of Franck Müller (that was way before the surname was changed to Muller). But then the nasty public fighting between Müller and Sirmakes made everything ugly. I lost my interest in the brand completely and must admit the horrid Conquistador Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph only proved me right.
