After the mind blowing 3D presentation at the Richard Mille booth press guru Ted Diehl rushed me away from the crowd to try on something really staggering. Out of nowhere he pulled a RM 27-01, the second generation Nadal watch.

Felipe Massa, Bubba Watson and Rafael Nadal are joined by Jamaican runner and record holder, Yohan Blake. Blake wore a $500.000 Richard Mille in the colors of his motherland when he broke records at this years Olympic games. Of course there are only very few persons in the world that can afford such a pricy critter. But thankfully there are alternatives. For example the Casio Shock Rastafari GA-110RF-9AJF that also shows the same colours, but sports a very different price tag (but probably same actual weight).

Do you remember that Rafael Nadal somehow lost an expensive watch during a tennis tournament in 2010? That watch was a Richard Mille RM 027 tourbillon, weighing only 20 grams and costing only 525,000 US dollars. And now it happened again.

Anyone currently awaiting delivery of a Richard Mille watch may be able to spot their new timepiece among this tray of wonders that I came across when visiting the company's manufacturing facility recently.

Enjoyed a bit of French Open, courtesy of Richard "I-am-a-watchdesigner-not-a-watchmaker" Mille. Not least a game between fellow Dane Caroline Wozniacki who beat Canadian Wozniack (yes, they both have Polish roots). Good to see Denmark in the top of International tennis.
