The nominations for the 00/24 European Watch of the Year Awards 2013 are in! Watch brands have submitted their best watches in six categories: four men’s watches, one category of men’s and women’s watches and one women’s category. So now 00/24 WatchWorld wants to hear what your favourite watch is, because in addition to the existing six categories – decided by the judges – there is a special Readers’ Award.

The Peace of Utrecht is a peace treaty that is signed in 1713 in the city halls of Utrecht (the Netherlands). Meccaniche Veloci’s success is still increasing, since the brand arrived in Harrods on 1st December, the world-famous London department store with an area dedicated to its innovative Italian timepieces. With over 80 retailers in Europe, the Far East and the US, the opening of the area in Harrods is Meccaniche Veloci’s tenth retail outlet in the UK.

Parmigiani brings watchmaking to new heights, during the 35^th International Hot Air Balloon Festival in the scenic valley of Château-d’Oex, nearby the prestigious ski resort Gstaad in Switzerland. This year’s presenting sponsor, for the 9^th time, is Parmigiani Fleurier. Parmigiani’s own – new – red balloon – since 2006 the brand had an orange one – took to the skies and was there throughout the festival.
