Finally understanding Anonimo

Until recently I did not "understand" the Florentione watch brand Anonimo. But after paying the tiny company a visit I realised the efforts that Anonimo put into their finely hand crafted cases. Some of which are extremely complicated to produce i.e. the hinged three-piece case for the Professionale Chrono and the very cool looking Marlin of bronze.

Furthermore Anonimo certainly IS a Florentine watchbrand and even the special Kodiak treated straps and dials are made a few kilometers from the head quarters making the Swiss movements the only foreign parts on the watches. Cases are produced and finished in Firenze and even the new Belgian owners (since 2011) are operating from the villa eight kilometers from the city centre. This villa also houses the almost 80 year old machinery that makes the finishing touch. All of course operated by hand and with great expertise.

It is tempting to say that Anonimo are masters of casemaking and users of movements as their cases certainly are their main product.
