About Lex Stolk
Lex Stolk (1968) is the highly experienced international editor-in-chief of 00/24 Horloges and 00/24 WatchWorld. He studied Journalism in Utrecht and it was during his time as a student he developed a passion for mechanical watches. He has spent his entire career in the publishing industry working for a wide range of publications before entering the watch world professionally seven years ago. His work for several watch publications made it possible for him to combine his love for both watches and magazines. During the last few years he developed a number of specialized publications covering the diverse world of watches.
Lex continues to be fascinated by the inventions and the developments in the watchmaking industry.
In 1999, when we created the Dutch edition of 00/24 WatchWorld we always envisioned our magazine growing to become a truly international publication. With that goal in mind, we published the first issues of the UK and Scandinavian editions of 00/24 WatchWorld in 2007 as well as the first North American edition in 2011. Steadily but surely our footprint in the international watch industry is growing, as well as our team of dedicated specialists.
Effective from October 1st, 2011
During the six years of its presence, 00/24 WatchWorld has become the leading watch magazine in the United Kingdom. Not only the printed magazine is very popular among watch aficionados, the digital issues are sold worldwide up to 50 times a day.
We are very happy with the way the production of 00/24 WatchWorld has been going, but we also feel it is time to take the next step. This means improving the organization and adapting it to the changing media landscape. Nick Edgley, up till now responsible for all sales in the UK, has accepted our offer to become the publisher of 00/24 WatchWorld in the United Kingdom. He will closely work together with CEO and founding publisher Harry H.R. Wijnschenk.
