The Jaeger-LeCoultre Sound Lab At Harrods

To celebrate the festive season, Jaeger-LeCoultre brings the essence of the Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux to the iconic Fine Watch Room of Harrods in London, from November 28th to January 14th 2015. In a major tribute to striking watches, there will be the opportunity to explore the different facets of this sophisticated complication. The Manufacture has created and produced over 200 different calibres equipped with repeater mechanisms, making this one of its favourite themes in watchmaking.

Through a collection of new and vintage timepieces Jaeger-LeCoultre reveals the varying melodies, unfailing reliability, precision and the purest possible sound from some of its most iconic minute repeaters. These include one of the first repeater pocket watches from 1895, the Grande Complication pocket watch, housing not only a minute repeater function but chronograph and quantième perpetual; the exceptional master ultra-thin minute repeater and flying tourbillon watch, the eleventh creation of the Hybris Mechanica collection and the Reverso Répétition Minutes a Rideau, an innovative concept watch where a sliding curtain masks one of the Reverso faces and activates the minute repeater. Watch aficionados will be offered the unique opportunity to “test” their Minute Repeater timepieces with a special “Sound Box” used by Jaeger-LeCoultre to test the quality of the Minute Repeaters.
