Julien Haenny is Anonimo’s new CEO

Anonimo, the watch brand based near Geneva since 2013, has announced the appointment of its new CEO. The role has gone to Julien Haenny, who has been the brand’s Marketing and Communication Director for the last year. He has already made a name for himself in the watchmaking industry, where he has honed his skills over the last ten years. His experience covers merchandising, events management and media work; dealing with mass-market, exclusive and innovative products, versatility and diversity were the watchwords that defined his years at Hugo Boss, Jaeger-LeCoultre and TechnoMarine.

In September 2015, he joined Anonimo Watches as Marketing and Communication Director. At Baselworld last March, Julien took over the company’s reins. Following a first period of analysis, a new challenge has been handed to him with confirmation of his appointment as the brand’s CEO. This appointment represents a major step in the brand’s redevelopment strategy, which was introduced earlier this year. Restructuring of the teams, development of the international distribution network, in-depth work on the collections… this is a large-scale project in a difficult economic climate but — just like any wearer of an Anonimo watch — this is a man with confidence and commitment in his decisions, who will take it all in his stride. Of Latin descent, his identification with Anonimo, which marries Swiss precision with a bold Italian sport-chic style, is clear. As he approaches 40, and with the brand’s 20th anniversary on the horizon, this duo promises to be an exciting one.

Swiss precision with a bold Italian sport-chic style

Founded in 1997 in Florence by watch lovers convinced that the product should be more important than the name, the brand established itself in Switzerland in 2013. Anonimo marries Swiss precision with a bold Italian sport-chic style. A pioneer in the use of bronze, Anonimo produces watches that exude power and strength. The Militare and Nautilo lines are characterised by a “coussin” case and an atypical construction. The dials feature a minimalist design on which the indications are arranged in a triangle formation to represent the capital A of Anonimo. As it approaches its 20th anniversary, the brand is demonstrating its independence and character.
