Pierre DeRoche TNT GMT Power Reserve 43: in it for the long haul

Pierre DeRoche TNT GMT Power Reserve 43

The watches from Pierre DeRoche reveal all the virtuosity of the Vallée de Joux watchmakers. The relatively unknown brand represents a passionate personality shown through. bridges, gear-trains and rotors. The brand may be small it hides a ‘big secret’.

Pierre DeRoche is fictional name but that’s not uncommon in the world of watches. Did you ever see a picture of, or shake hands with Maurice Lacroix, Frederique Constant or Maurice de Mauriac? Exactly. But Pierre Dubois does exist. Het is one of three Dubois brothers. The two other brothers run Dubois-Depraz, the famous and important module maker for movements, and Pierre runs Pierre DeRoche, the more or less unofficial Dubois-Depraz watch brand.

Just one push(er)

The TNT is the most striking and sporty creation from Pierre DeRoche. The Pierre DeRoche TNT GMT Power Reserve 43 is a traveller’s watch par excellence. With this second timezone TNT long haul travellers have a GMT display combined with a power-reserve indicator at the ready. The modern strong shapes of the titanium and steel 43mm case holds a deliberately classical touch by adopting an opaque dial: a first for a TNT, a model that was previously known for its open-worked dials. The particularly legible 24-hour dual-time display reveals a sporty spirit through an original offset composition aligned with the power-reserve. This remarkably stylish new TNT carries only one pusher, since all the GMT operations are handled via the crown. It is available in two exclusive versions: one with a titanium and steel case framing an anthracite black dial, and the other with a black DLC-treated case and sand-toned dial and strap.
