GTE Superwatch AwardsThe Superwatch Award of the Geneva Time Exhibition (GTE), held this month at the Espace Hippomène in Geneva, was divided this time into two categories: Design and Movement. A jury, consisting Geoffroy Ader (Sotheby’s), Elizabeth Doerr (journalist), Axel Kufus (professor of watchmaking), Anders Modig (Plaza Watch) and Jean-Marc Wiederrecht (Agenhor) selected the following winners.

In the Design category the winner was the new version of the Cabestan Tourbillon, with its new Trapzium case. Second place was awarded to the Viator by Heritage Watch Manufacture from Neuchâtel and Marc Jenni, member of the AHCI (Académie des Horlogers Indépendants) ended up in third place with the second watch he designed. In the Movement category the winner was the Tensus by Heritage Watch Manufacture, with its Caliber HWM 880 featuring a triple anchor escapement and constant power. Second place was for the QP-EZ, a perpetual calendar watch by Ateliers deMonaco, a company of the Frédérique Constant group where Dutch watchmaker Pim Koeslag can show his talents. The original Cabestan Winch Tourbillon Vertical was placed by the jury in third place.
