Girard-Peregaux announced this month that Dominique Loiseau has joined its manufacturing team during the last quarter of 2011. Dominique Loiseau has worked for more than 30 years at the very top of complex horology (one of his creations is the famed Blancpain 1735) and his latest watch, named Loiseau 1f4, is the most complicated automatic watch, with eight patents in its movement.
In addition, Loiseau is a restorer, artisan and teacher at the International Museum of Watchmaking in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the same place where the Girard-Perregaux manufacture is located.
His task will be to strenghten the brand’s ‘think tank’, to bring a fresh perspective to the brand ánd to develop new complications and movements.
