00/24 WatchWorld – New editor and appointment of publisher
During the six years of its presence, 00/24 WatchWorld has become the leading watch magazine in the United Kingdom. Not only the printed magazine is very popular among watch aficionados, the digital issues are sold worldwide up to 50 times a day.
We are very happy with the way the production of 00/24 WatchWorld has been going, but we also feel it is time to take the next step. This means improving the organization and adapting it to the changing media landscape. Nick Edgley, up till now responsible for all sales in the UK, has accepted our offer to become the publisher of 00/24 WatchWorld in the United Kingdom. He will closely work together with CEO and founding publisher Harry H.R. Wijnschenk.
John Goodall steps down as the UK editor-in-chief and will leave the team as of October 1st, 2011. We thank John for all the excellent work he has done over the years. International editor-in-chief Karel Hubert is happy to announce Timothy Barber is joining the editorial team as its UK-editor. Timothy has written extensively on watches and the watch industry as staff features writer for City AM newspaper, founder and editor of the watch supplement City AM On Time and contributor to a number of other publications including Financial Times Watches & Jewellery report and Sphere magazine.
With Nick Edgley in his new role as publisher and Timothy Barber as our new UK editor we are sure 00/24 WatchWorld is in an excellent position for further growth.
