0024 European Watch of the Year Awards: Winner Category 4 – Chopard L.U.C 1963 Tourbillon

This week we present you with the winners of the 0024 European Watch of the Year awards. During jury meetings of the 16th edition of the competition we evaluated more than 100 submissions, divided into six categories – four price categories for men’s watches and two price categories for women’s watches. The international 0024 readers also voted online for their favorite watch. The judges also took the opportunity to present a special award for technical excellence. Without further ado: here’s the winner of category 4!

Category 4: Men’s watches from €100,000: Chopard L.U.C 1963 Tourbillon

Judges’ substantiation: “Very manufacture. The gold gold melted in Chopard’s in-house foundry and the movement is also made in-house. The L.U.C 1963 Tourbillon was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Scheufele family acquisition in 1963 of the watch company founded by Louis-Ulysse Chopard (L.U.C) in 1860 and it shows. The watch is inspired by the aesthetics of pocket watches made by Chopard. The pure, white, Grand Feu enamel dial, bold black Roman numerals, and chronometer, hand-wound, nine-day power reserve tourbillon movement represent the highest values in haute horlogerie.”
