ACE and Nomos collaborate again for a successful Limited Edition

The Limited Edition watches by Nomos and Ace jewellers are well-known pieces to look out for amongst watch lovers. Last three editions were sold out quite quickly, and for good reason. The team at ACE always know how to do something cool and unusual to the watches produced in Glashütte.

The latest addition to that impressive series is this excellently executed Ace x NOMOS Glashütte Zürich Weltzeit Amsterdam. If you’re already familiar with the Zürich, you might notice only minor tweaks have been made to the watch. The most striking detail is the addition of the three white St. Andrews crosses at three o’clock. This refers to the coat of arms of the Dutch capital, a sign widely used in and around this city to show its provenance. One more detail is found on the crown where the same crosses are shown. The name Amsterdam is also written on the world timer ring.

The dial is made black for this edition, and it comes on a cordovan black leather strap. The watch has a 40 millimeter steel case, and it is powered by Nomos’ in-house DUW 5201 automatic calibre, which has a 43-hour power reserve. The watch is available in a very limited run of 25 pieces, which make the desirability even larger. The price is € 4,620,= including VAT, and it is obviously available at… ACE Jewellers (boutique and via www.acejewelers.com). Expectations are the watch will be sold out soon.

The author 0024 Editorial Team

When we started publishing our first high-end watch magazine in 1999, we had only one intention: increasing the popularity of high-quality mechanical watches. Now, many years later, this has not changed at all. In 2017 we have reinvented ourselves to serve our readers in a different and better way. Starting in 2017, the new 0024 is again better equipped to interact with the changing world of high-end watches. The new 0024 HORLOGES magazine (written in Dutch) will be at least a 200 pager: that’s twice the volume of our magazine in the old days.
