Anonimo Celebrates Its Position Of WRC Official Timekeeper With A Special Watch

Anonimo Militare Special Edition WRC

Earlier this year Anonimo was announced as the official timekeeper of the WRC, making it the third high profile motorsports series for which they obtained this position, the other ones being the Moto3 and WTCR. While the WRC allows you to see some of the most exciting machines on four wheels in action, Anonimo creates similar machines for on the wrist. In both cases, it is the combination of precision, passion, and mastership of the chosen field that makes them top performers.

To mark the partnership, Anonimo created a special watch that underscores these similarities. This Militare WRC features a 43.4mm large cushion shaped case, with the crown located at twelve o’clock as its signature feature. Underneath the sapphire crystal, which is treated with an anti-reflective coating, we find a highly legible grey coloured dial with the WRC-logo on it. The dial features a hand brushed finish which combines perfectly with the case which has a black PVD finish. Green details on the dial, as well as the stitching of the strap mark Anonimo’s connection to the WRC once more. Inside the case we also find a high performer, similar to that under the hood of the WRC rally cars, as a Sellita SW300 automatic movement is fitted with a Dubois Dépraz chronograph module that was developed especially for Anonimo.

When we started publishing our first high-end watch magazine in 1999, we had only one intention: increasing the popularity of high-quality mechanical watches. Now, many years later, this has not changed at all. In 2017 we have reinvented ourselves to serve our readers in a different and better way. Starting in 2017, the new 0024 is again better equipped to interact with the changing world of high-end watches. The new 0024 HORLOGES magazine (written in Dutch) will be at least a 200 pager: that’s twice the volume of our magazine in the old days.
