IWC Celebrates Summer With New Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph And A Lot Of Straps!

IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph

IWC has that summer feeling and decided to share this with the world with a new version of the Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph. With a deep blue dial and white subdials and the outer ring is this watch the embodiment of summer, with the red chronograph seconds hand as a focal point. The watch is powered by IWC manufacture caliber 89361, which features a chronograph with a flyback function.

The blue strap on the Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph not only complements the dial but is also made from rubber, so that it sits very comfortable on the wrist. It is secured by a folding clasp so that it stays right where it belongs during all those fun summer activities.

For people who already have an IWC does the brand also introduce a collection of summer straps. They are made from fabric and available for the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII and Pilot’s Watch Chronograph, the Portofino as well as the Portugieser Chronograph. The woven fabric is very supple and therefore comfortable to wear. IWC offers them in blue and light grey, and for the Pilot Watches also in both colors with the opposite color as a rim. As they represent the brand’s summer feeling they will only be available for a limited time.

When we started publishing our first high-end watch magazine in 1999, we had only one intention: increasing the popularity of high-quality mechanical watches. Now, many years later, this has not changed at all. In 2017 we have reinvented ourselves to serve our readers in a different and better way. Starting in 2017, the new 0024 is again better equipped to interact with the changing world of high-end watches. The new 0024 HORLOGES magazine (written in Dutch) will be at least a 200 pager: that’s twice the volume of our magazine in the old days.
