Longines is hunting for their oldest watch in The Netherlands
Heritage is everything when you are a Swiss watch brand. Most established watch brands have a company museum as well as a restoration department for their old watches, and so does Longines. Last year an American collector had the oldest known Longines watch in the world authenticated by the brand. This pocket watch was from 1867.
Longines is now looking for their oldest pocket watch in The Netherlands. For this, they have joined forces with Fratello, one of the world’s leading watch blogs. Between March 1st and June 1st, 2019, people can submit the serial number of their vintage Longines, which will be verified in the companies archives.
The winner of the contest, the owner of the oldest Longines pocket watch in The Netherlands, will be rewarded with a trip for two to St-Imier. There they will have the opportunity to visit the museum and archives of the brand, as well as the manufacture of Longines. People who want to join are invited to visit www.fratellowatches.com. Particupating is easy: just fill out the form and upload pictures of your old Longines watch.
