And the Oscar goes to… The new automatic Nomos Minimatik has won the iF Gold Award, also known as the Oscar of the worldwide design industry. Out of over 5000 products from 53 countries, it was the new timepiece in the Neomatik series that succeeded in convincing the jury.

The iF Award is one of the highest international recognitions for product design. It has been bestowed for over 60 years for superb design accomplishments and is ranked among the oldest and most renowned accolades of the branch. It recognizes ‘hallmarks of modernity’. It is not the first time that Nomos Glashütte won an iF Award. The model Metro won the prestigious award in 2015, the Ahoi model in 2014, the Tangomat GMT Plus in 2013 and the Zürich model in 2012.

Design awards

Back to the Nomos Minimatik. This timepiece keeps winning design awards! Earlier it won the Good Design Award (Eames Prize) as well. A great honor for Nomos designer Thomas Höhnel, who is responsible for the dial of the Minimatik. And we believe that more award might follow.
