Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa Chronor
Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa Chronor

From 1998 -2001 the ancestor of the Kalpa was the Ionica with its in-house movement PF110. Now, in 2018, Michel Parmigiani is more than proud to introduce the all new Kalpa Chronor (Chf. 85.000,-), limited to 50 pieces.

The entire movement is shaped into the tonneau shaped case, in solid gold. The movement is extremely precise (5 Hz / 36.000 Vph) with COSC certificate. In the Kalpagraphe Chronomètre the Pf 362 movement is also in tonneau shape but not in solid gold, since it is no limted edtion (Chf 35.000,-).

The shape of the case is even more rounded to reflect the light in a more natural better way, the lugs are redesigned as is the crown. The caseback is fully open, not just a round circle like the previous edition. Kalpa Hebdomadaire (Chf 32.500,-) with its well designed Pf 110 caliber is a handwound movement.

Our advice: Go for the Kalpa Chronor and enjoy a solid gold watch with a solid gold movement!

The author 0024 Editorial Team

When we started publishing our first high-end watch magazine in 1999, we had only one intention: increasing the popularity of high-quality mechanical watches. Now, many years later, this has not changed at all. In 2017 we have reinvented ourselves to serve our readers in a different and better way. Starting in 2017, the new 0024 is again better equipped to interact with the changing world of high-end watches. The new 0024 HORLOGES magazine (written in Dutch) will be at least a 200 pager: that’s twice the volume of our magazine in the old days.
