Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar

Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar

We are happy to have discovered serious innovations during the SIHH. After the Lamborghini presentation by Roger Dubuis (“Ehm …yes! We have developed one watch, that costs 1,063,000 euros and has already been sold”) and another 14 references at IWC, bringing the total to 171, Vacheron Constantin comes with a really useful piece of technology.

The brilliant watchmaker team of Vacheron has developed an extremely clever piece of technology that solves an ever-present problem with perpetual calender watches: they often lag behind. There are several quick adjustment systems on the market, but nevertheless you have to adjust the day dozens of times, because it is just a bit sloppy when your watch is years behind… With the system introduced by Vacheron Constantin, the power reserve is no less than 65 days! Yes: days, not hours.

In the next issue of 0024 Horloges you can reed exactly how this works.

The author 0024 Editorial Team

When we started publishing our first high-end watch magazine in 1999, we had only one intention: increasing the popularity of high-quality mechanical watches. Now, many years later, this has not changed at all. In 2017 we have reinvented ourselves to serve our readers in a different and better way. Starting in 2017, the new 0024 is again better equipped to interact with the changing world of high-end watches. The new 0024 HORLOGES magazine (written in Dutch) will be at least a 200 pager: that’s twice the volume of our magazine in the old days.
